A lone rancher, Mac Brazel was first on the scene. Upon approaching the downed spacecraft Mac didn’t see little green men… he saw a man with a yellow bow tie climb out of the wreckage. That man’s name was ED. ED didn’t say a word. He only grabbed a guitar case out of the craft and started off walking away from the crash site leaving a befuddled Mac Brazel scratching his head. ----------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ED learned before too long that his calculations had been off by several decades. He was supposed to have landed in the early 80’s when the age of guitar was taking root. In the late 40’s his style of musical vibration was far too much for people of that time to handle. --------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ED quickly adjusted by building a cryogenic chamber. He set himself for a 30+ year freeze. When ED finally thawed sometime in late 2007, he realized there had been a catastrophic failure in the freezing chamber. He had woken up nearly 30 years after the beginning of the shredding guitar revolution. ------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ED recovered quickly from the calamity of oversleeping by nearly 30 years. He set out from there to overcome the negative stereotype that 80’s shred and hair metal had garnered for the genre of guitar virtuosity and lift up that style of music to a place of prominence.
