Daysahead has shared bills with national and international recording artists such as Al Green, Roy Ayers, Angie Stone, and many jam bands. They perform numerous musical festivals & venue/club dates throughout the US.
They will be featured on the Capital Jazz Super Cruise in September 2008 with Earl Klugh, George Duke, Rachelle Ferrell, The Brand New Heavies, Ledesi, and a host of artists.
Daysahead's breakout single "You Move Me" is being featured on BET J “Soul Sessions” and TBS "STORYLine Soundstage", as well as their single "It's In Your Hands".
Formed in 2003, Atlanta-based Daysahead, founded by guitarist Steve Wright (Richmond, VA) & vocalist Kim Leachman (Baton Rouge, LA), continues to chart an innovative musical course that weaves jazz, rock, and soul into a unique, melodic and at times hard-driving sound coined as “Jazz-n-Roll” (a jazz approach to rock & soul). Daysahead’s debut CD, titled Turning Point, boldly builds a bridge between soul, rock, & jazz. Since its release, Turning Point has received critical acclaim in the U.S. and abroad and Daysahead was nominated Best Duo/Group of the year by SoulTracks Readers’ Choice Awards, and Best Band & Best Album of the year by RockWired Awards.
Daysahead's current release "Turning Point" is receiving continual radio play throughout the USA (specifically Northeast, Midwest, West Coast, Southeast) and parts of Europe (specifically Japan, Germany, the UK, Switzerland, France, Italy, Portugal, Sweden, Belgium,) on college radio, npr stations, and specialty shows.
Daysahead landed #4 on CMJ and #12 on JamBand charts.
