David Kav, a prolific singer/songwriter, has been playing around the Chicagoland and the Midwest since 2005 in various venues making a name for himself – slowly but surely. He has appeared at Uncommon Ground, Sedgwick’s Bar and Grill, The Green Dolphin, Seamus McGhee’s Bar and Grill, and The Bar Next Door in Madison, WI. to name a few. The list keeps growing on a day-to-day basis as David patiently chips away at the pavement to success to make himself known to everyone who listens to his music – both live and recorded.

David Kav has been singing for as long as he can remember. Watching his aunt play guitar as a kid (who learned from his father…whom David has never met,) he was intrigued by the seemingly intimidating instrument. Well, of course, as fate would have it, David would follow his (what once seemed like an) infatuation for music by listening to his mother’s record collection of Journey, Boston, Neil Young, Chicago records which led to talent showcases, two rock bands (Comatose and All Things Considered,) a side project (Kampus Project,) and “a partridge in a pear tree” (aka David’s debut CD “Look Into My Eyes” – just released last year in 2007.) His forthcoming CD, “Better You Here Than Alone,” is set to be released Sat. Sept. 13, 2008 at Goose Island Brewery – 3535 N. Clark, Chicago, IL. 60613 at 11:30 pm! David’s band, David Kav & The Collaborative Distraction, is performing along with Stonehoney (www.myspace.com/stonehoney) and Matthew Hansen (www.myspace.com/mjhansen) $5 cover. 21 and over.
