Technical Requirements
The mains and monitor p.a. systems will be provided by the venue. The mains public address system will allow a minimum of 15 clean and clear watts/person to the maximum capacity of the venue. The monitor system will be capable of a minimum of two on-stage mixes with a minimum wattage capable of being balanced with the mains for clean and clear audibility for performers. A minimum of 8 xlr and line input channels should be available on the pa mixer. Adequate 120v/ 60hz a.c. power will be provided by venue on-stage and around the venue for performers a/v gear and other performance fixtures.
Choking Sun is a performance art act that involves audience members in direct interaction with performers and set pieces. The band requires a minimum of 11’ (stage width) x 8’ (stage depth). An additional 20′ × 20′ area for performance with large set pieces is required, though this area need not be a single location and may be portioned out on and/or off the stage, so long as the band has the required minimum dimensions given to itself on-stage. Ceiling clearance of 8’ minimum on- and off-stage is required.
