(Incantatory poems of Alexis Pena Goco performed by Catanic Panic)
Catanic Panic is foremost a comprehensive study of music and the recording arts among two members who emulate the compendium of "alternative rock". In lore of this, they consider themselves an Experimental/Electronica goth band with the likes and artistry of post-punk bands since the early 1980's. Cohering their back up vocals to computer generated lead vocals - Catanic models manufactured features of the computers' rhythym and vocal qulaities in her technique while Alexis lends his male presence throughout the songs with low hums and susurrations creating very homogeneous tones and resounding a notable musical product.
With the rationale of "lyric poetry", Catanic Panic serves their listeners from a story telling disposition filled with folkloric-like instrumentation and an ingenious use of the art of spoken word.
------------------------------------- About Never Look Up:Debut Single
"Never Look Up" was first penned in 2006 as a poem written by Alexis Pena Goco. Alexis' poems has a chanting and song-like quality; and so in 2007, Alexis and his alter-ego "Catanic" formed Catanic Panic producing a product that "they" feel is foretelling of the future of artistry in digital technology. With the patronage from Creative Commons licensers - especially Mr. Kevin Macleod who's musical composition "Klockworx" is used here, which is now spoken for as "Never Look Up" - spliced and diced by Alexis Pena Goco using Wavpad.
Note: Although it is impossible to separate the creator from the alter ego, Alexis and Catanic, when referenced or identified as a band, and as musicians - are identified as two separate members, even surpassing the spirit of RP'ing(role playing)- especially in article submitting or written reviews!
