Unquestionably a hard rock band at its core, with distinctive symphonic / prog metal elements which easily serve to set them apart from the masses, the band continues to gain momentum and popularity. With live performances at many national shows and a growing catalog of noteworthy achievements, BODRAGAZ stands ready to lead the vanguard in the recent resurgence of melodic hard rock and symphonic metal.
- NATIONAL SHOW EXPERIENCE -
For years, BODRAGAZ has been performing live at shows and festivals in front of hundreds and even thousands of spectators, as a supporting act for many famous national bands and artists. Highlights of these performances include:
• In July 2009, BODRAGAZ performed live at the 3rd Annual Rocklahoma music festival with Anthrax, Twisted Sister, Skid Row, Stryper, Warrant, Ratt, Night Ranger, Jackyl, Anvil, and countless other international acts. They were the only unsigned Colorado based band invited to play the festival.
• In February 2006, opened as direct support for Bon Jovi center stage at the Pepsi Center arena in front of a sold-out crowd of 17,000 on the Denver stop of Bon Jovi’s “Have a Nice Day” tour, Pollstar’s #2 rated tour for the first quarter of 2006. BODRAGAZ was honored to represent Colorado as one of only 26 finalists in the nationwide “Have a Nice Gig” contest that year, sponsored by LIVEDAILY.COM.
• BODRAGAZ performed live at the Burlington Steamboat Days Festival in Burlington, Iowa with 2006 American Idol finalist Bo Bice.
• Direct opening slots at other regional shows for other bands and shows not mentioned above have also included live performances with Slaughter, Y&T (2 shows), KT Tunstall, Enuff Z’Nuff, Ron Keel, and Spock’s Beard.
- NOTEWORTHY ACCOMPLISHMENTS -
Since 2004, BODRAGAZ music has been honored by several notable achievements which serve to set them apart from other unsigned bands in the Hard Rock and Heavy Metal genres.
• The week of June 9th, 2008, digital music provider Rhapsody.com selected the 2008 BODRAGAZ release Awaken as one of the Top 32 “Most Significant New Releases” in the Metal genre. Additionally, the band was charted as high as #55 on the Rhapsody.com “Top 100 Artists in Progressive Metal” music charts on July 13th, 2008. BODRAGAZ remained in the Top 100 for several months after Awaken’s release.
• Song “Lost” from Awaken (2008) was selected for inclusion on the “Auditory Assault 2” compilation disc by Bare Metal Records.
• Song “The Energy” from the Solid Sound (2002), was featured on “The Beast Inside” compilation disc by MelodicRock.com.
• BODRAGAZ has enjoyed prominent appearances in both print and broadcast media, as well as terrestrial and internet radio play, including:
- A feature interview on Colorado ABC affiliate KMGH-TV’s morning news.
- An interview backstage at the Pepsi Center arena on Colorado WB affiliate KWGN-TV’s evening news (now a CW affiliate).
- A full page article and interview in the Boulder Daily Camera newspaper.
- Airplay and an interview on Colorado radio KBPI 106.7 FM’s “Local Band Hangout”.
- Interview and a live studio performance on Colorado radio KALC 105.9 FM.
- Feature interview in the “Who’s Making Noise” section, and a favorable album review of Awaken (4 out of 5 stars), in Colorado Music Buzz magazine.
- “Album of the Week” honors for Awaken in September 2008 on Full Throttle Rock Radio, 3WBC 94.1 FM in Victoria, Australia.
