What's up?
I love music. I guess you could consider me a rapper/singer/songwriter. I am currently looking to break into the music biz. Still working on my craft tho. My style is a mix of Neo Soul, R&;B, Rap, Hip Hop, New Jack Swing, dance, and some light alternative music. I call this new style "Hip Hop" fusion.
Im really looking to distinguish my self from the other R & B singers out there and also other rappers, with so many out there, as well because I do both. It's not just a gimmick either, like that Black Ty/Tyrese thing, (I know we all still trying to forget that). I usually end up getting refered to Andre 3000 when I rap and Anthony Hamilton when I sing but Im tryin to develop my own style and not sound like anyone else. R& B + Hip Hop = Hip Hop Fuzion.
Some of my musical influences include: Marvin Gaye, Donny Hathaway, Stevie Wonder, Otis Redding;some of the newer artsist I really dig are Musiq Soulchild, Gnarles Barkley, Eric Roberson, Raheem Devaughn, John Legend and Anthony Hamilton( Im told I sound just like.
My rap influences are Notorious Big, Slick Rick, Big Boi & Andre 3000 ( Im also told I sound like Andre too),Kayne, Ludacris and Eminem. In my rap game I try to have fun and offer an alternative to the ballad heavy mixes I sometimes prefer. I love to freestyle, coming up with crazy lyrics I even sometime surprise myself with. Rapping is something that although I haven't done as long as singing I definately have a love for. I sing 70 % and rap 30%.
I have been singing all my life and even tried out for American Idol until I discovered American Idol is actually not looking for talent nor is it a talent show as it pretends to be. Hoping you guys will like my music, drop me a line and holla at me im real laid back and enjoy networking with others who share the same love of music I do or can offer some advice
