AZ CentralEddie Money is still at the top of his game. He's the consumate entertainer, getting the audience going right away with Two Tickets to Paradise and moving briskly into some of his newer hits. Gimme Some Water went over great here in Arizona, given our intimacy with border issues. Eddie's daughter, Jesse, who sometimes tours with her father, performed flawlessy as a backup singer (Take Me Back) and almost stole the show with her rendition of (Take Me) Higher. The joint was packed and jumpin' all night long, beginning with local southern and classic rock band 74th Street who revved up the event from 4pm-8pm, performing crowd pleasers ranging from Allman Brothers and ZZ Top to Velvet Revolver and Led Zeppelin, capping the show with an amazing version of Lynyrd Skynyrd's Freebird that had the audience roaring. Other Cyclefest concerts included the Gin Blossoms, Blackfoot, and Cheap Trick. While all great bands, they will have a tough time living up to the amazing show put on by 74th Street and Eddie Money!
