When I was about 4 or 5 years old, I remember walking down an old country road with my mom and dad, and my mom was singing that old country song "EASY LOVIN" by Freddie Hart. She looked at me and said "Yer Daddy wrote that song"... Well, that was it! Like every little boy, my dad was my hero, and if he was a songwriter, I would be too!... And so, a dream was born. I remember hearing it on the radio, and thinking how kool it was that MY dad had written it! I found out later that my dad DID NOT write that song,( That must've been back when they liked each other) but it was too late! The dream was there, and it just won't die!
My songs tend to lean to the traditional side,(I WISH IT COULD BE ME) but my brother, and co-writer, David, tries to keep us more on the contemporary side (SWEET SUMMER WIND). Together we make a great team, and, according to what we are told by our publisher, several of our songs will be cut and released by the end on summer.
Tennessee was written while in the middle of a messy divorce, back in 1995, while wishing I could return home to Tennessee, but knowing I never could, because of my 6 year old son Dustin. Dustin is 19 now, and I am very proud of the man he has become, but I will always miss my home in the hills of Tennessee.
The little boy you see on all our songs is my 5 year old son Jacob. He's my Buddy, and my Pride and Joy.

A Dreamers dreams
Don’t know much about blogging, but here goes. I grew up in a small community in Tennessee, where everyone knows everyone. It’s called Caryville, and it’s about 30 miles north of Knovxille. Not much to do there except fish, hunt, fight, chase women, and make music. I chased my woman all the way to Cleveland in 1987, and, even though it didn’t work out, I stayed here for my son Dustin. I have never regretted staying here for him, and I’m proud of the man he has grown into, but I still miss the mountains of home. There are 2 events that I remember as being key to my dream of being a songwriter. The first was when I was about 4 or 5 years old.
