The inspiration for this song came from a trip to a local cemetary where i came across Mary Belle's head stone. The song didn't come untill about a month later when i woke up from a dream and had the "story of Mary Belle" in my head. In my song and video, the head stone was maybe a name sake for the original Mary Belle, thats why i decided to shoot at the cemetary and tell the story from there. A way to honor the women in the past who were so wrongfully abused, the women "Mary Belle" stands for.
