In November OurStage and Cakewalk teamed up for the “Your Music: Anytime, Anyplace” Songwriting Contest to help out the best emerging rock and urban acts. Over 4,000 artists submitted their best songs for a shot at winning one of six Intel Core i7 laptop prize packages valued at over $3,000. With tons of hardware and software goodies, such as Cakewalk’s V-Studio 100 and SONAR 8.5, the winners will be able to capture inspiration “Anytime, Anyplace” using these top-of-the-line mobile studio set ups.

In addition to the six artists, two fan grand prize winners were named Best Predictors and awarded Intel Core i7 powered mobile studios of their own. Best Predictors are fans whose judging patterns match closest to the final rankings of the contest. Judging on OurStage is a fun way to discover new artists and win some pretty rad prizes. Today we’re very excited to introduce Judging Power Hours. Once in a while we’ll designate hour time slots in which we’ll select one lucky judge at random to win an OurStage prize pack! To judge on OurStage all you have to do is register as a fan by clicking here. After activating your account click the “Judge” tab at the top of the OurStage.com home page. Then click the channel you want to judge. Within each channel  you have two options, Head-to-Head judging or Sort 4 judging.

In Head-to-Head judging you compare two songs side by side then gauge which song you like more.

The artist deadline to enter Cakewalk’s “Your Music. Anytime, Anyplace.” Songwriting Contest is coming up but the contest is far from over!
