Paramore Cover Fleetwood Mac Acoustic

Paramore are still grinding away at the promotional efforts for their recently released self-titled album. Between radio appearances, in-stores, meet-and-greets, and touring, the group barely has a moment to themselves these days. That’s okay, of course, because sometimes you have to sacrifice privacy when you have the number one album in the country. A price, yes, but a relatively small one in the big picture of life.

Recently, Paramore debuted a cover of Fleetwood Mac‘s “Landslide” while performing acoustically as part of a radio appearance. The station thought to capture the set on camera, and now we can all enjoy footage from the performance, courtesy of YouTube. You can view the cover, as well as a performing of “In The Morning,” below. Continue reading ‘Paramore Cover Fleetwood Mac Acoustic’

Paramore Perform “Ain’t It Fun” For The First Time

Response to Paramore‘s return to the pop-rock realm has been decidedly positive, even in the face of a relatively large sonic change. They are no longer the band in the business of misery, and it seems that change could not have come at a more opportune time.

Now busy with their promotional touring efforts, Paramore have been slowly unveiling more and more new material on the live stage. While in Houston over the weekend, the group performed the fan favorite cut on the new album, “Ain’t It Fun,” and as you might expect they brought the house down. One fan had the foresight to reach for their camera, and now you can click below to enjoy the song’s live debut too.

Paramore is available now wherever music is sold. Continue reading ‘Paramore Perform “Ain’t It Fun” For The First Time’

Watch Paramore’s Acoustic Record Store Day Performance

Paramore are riding high on the release of their first number one album, and over the weekend they took their promotional efforts to an independent music outlet in support of Record Store Day 2013.

Filmed at Grimey’s in Nashville, Paramore’s twenty-three minute set included acoustic renditions of new songs and fan favorites. The footage we have been able to locate thus far has all been shot by fans and bloggers in attendance, but even though it’s amateur the sound is more than good enough to enjoy. You can view the performance below.

Paramore’s new self-titled album is currently on shelves at every music store across the country. It’s different than their previous efforts, but only in the best possible way. Continue reading ‘Watch Paramore’s Acoustic Record Store Day Performance’

Paramore Perform “Still Into You” on Kimmel

Just when you thought it was safe to stop thinking about the new Paramore release…

Two days after the release of their critically acclaimed self-titled album, the members of Paramore found themselves on the set of Jimmy Kimmel Live. Appearing alongside Tom Cruise, whose new film Oblivion opens next week, the alt-rock group performed their latest single, “Still Into You.” You can view that performance at the end of this post.

I generally hope to write at length about these bands and appearances, but having covered Paramore nearly a dozen times this month already I must admit I’m running out of ways to pitch their new sound to all of you. So, instead of trying to sell you, I’ll just state that I think the latest material from Paramore is their strongest to date and any fan of music would be lucky to hear what they have to offer. Paramore Stream SIDE A of Upcoming Album

Paramore finally returned to the forefront of female fronted pop rock this month with the release of their long-awaited self titled album, and all this week fans can access an early stream of the album that is being released in a rather creative way. Starting last night, each day Paramore will be streaming one side of the upcoming vinyl pressing of their new album.

The second coming of vinyl album popularity has been slowly on the rise since the mid-2000s. It’s not secret die hard fans long for the ultimate sound quality, which is exactly what vinyl releases offer, but Paramore latest efforts may be the first time anyone has combined the digital and physical realm in this specific way. It’s a simply marketing ploy, sure, but it’s an effective one that relatively guarantees multiple interactions with a new product before money is ever discussed. If it works like they’re hoping it will, this could be the start of something big. Stream SIDE A below and let us know if you’ll be tuning for more new Paramore in the days to come.
