Paramore Perform At Celebrity Beach Bowl

1128669-cmt-paramore-617-409Does Paramore ever rest? If their recent performances and nearly sold out dates with Fall Out Boy this summer tell us anything, it’s that these Tennessee natives are most at home on the road. So it came as no surprise that while football fans around the country were celebrating (or mourning) their team’s outcome yesterday, Paramore was busy rocking out on the DirecTV Celebrity Beach Bowl for a lengthy one hour set. Check out their performance below.

Paramore “Ain’t It Fun” Music Video

Paramore-2013Somewhere between planning a new line of hair dye, and adhering to a crazy tour schedule, Hayley Williams and the rest of Paramore found time to film and release their new music video for “Ain’t It Fun.” The single comes off last year’s self-titled album, and features the band smashing tons of records, guitars, and other expensive things that probably shouldn’t be smashed. Besides destroying things, the band can also be seen catching feathers, walking backwards with stuffed animals, unwrapping a “mummy,” and other attempts at setting and breaking world records. Check out the video below. Continue reading ‘Paramore “Ain’t It Fun” Music Video’

Paramore’s Hayley Williams Releasing Line Of Hair Dyes

Paramore-2013Musicians will go into just about any field these days. Including hair products.

Paramore‘s Hayley Williams, known for her amazing Technicolor dreamlocks, has announced plans to release her own line of hair dye later this year, via Manic Panic. Discussing the line she says:

“Right now, I am incredibly inspired by the force that is Manic Panic. I love their history, what they mean to so many generations of teenagers and punks, or anyone just looking for a new way to express themselves. My goal for 2014 is to get the hair color line I’ve always dreamed of creating. I came up with the name years ago and finally made the decision to start working on it last summer. There’s so much to do but Tish and Snooky and Manic Panic keep me believing in the hair-dye dream. “

Paramore-2013NBC’s The Voice wrapped up last week, but not before inviting Paramore to the stage to belt out a high-energy performance of their hit, “Ain’t It Fun.” Taking the stage with them was Voice runner-up Jacquie Lee who, for the record, held her own against Paramore. Watch out, Hayley Williams, is all I’m saying.

Paramore will be heading to Australia and New Zealand this January alongside Twenty One Pilots and You Me At Six, before hitting their Parahoy! cruise with Tegan and Sara, New Found Glory, Shiny Toy Guns, mewithoutYou, Bad Rabbits, and Reuben Wu. Check out the video and tour dates below. Paramore Recruit Aaron Gillespie For Fall Tour

Paramore have revealed that former Underoath drummer and current Almost frontman Aaron Gillespie will be drumming for the band on their upcoming fall tour.

Taking to Twitter yesterday, Paramore shed light on the question of who would be the latest music industry notable to play drums. Fans may recall that longtime drummer Zac Farro left the band in 2010 and they have lacked a permanent drummer ever since. Nine Inch Nails drummer Ilan Rubin has filled in, but with Nine Inch Nails touring this fall, they had to find another replacement.

Gillespie’s band, The Almost, released an album through Tooth And Nail earlier this year. The group has yet to comment on Gillespie’s decision to join Paramore for the fall, but we’ll update you if anything develops further.

Paramore Announce Paperless Ticketing Plan To Fight Scalping

If you have been to a sold out show at any point in your life, or more specifically attempted to attend a sold out show, you’ve probably run across a ticket scalper or two. While everyone is entitled to their own opinion on people who buy tickets they’ll never use in an attempt to profit off the popularity of someone else, until recently there has been little artists could do to prevent it. Now, thanks to the digital age, a new paperless system offers hope to fans and artists.

Paramore have decided they want to help keep fans safe from ticket scalpers, and are working with ticket sellers and venues alike to offer “paperless” tickets for their most expensive seats. These tickets will be treated as “will call,” and only the purchaser with their photo ID can pick the ticket(s) up (the day of the show). You can read all of the details of the band’s plan by taking a look below the jump. They plan on implementing this change on their upcoming tour. Crystalyne Cover Paramore’s “Aint It Fun”

Fast-rising pop rock group Crystalyne have released a stripped down version of Paramore’s fan favorite, “Ain’t It Fun.”

Taken from Paramore’s recently released self-titled effort, “Ain’t It Fun” is a track that fans and critics alike instantly embraced. Crystalyne’s version is a simple piano and guitar mix, with the vocalist’s soaring vocals leading the way through the somewhat heartbreaking tune. You can stream the cover below.

Crystalyne are hard at work developing a new album of their own, while Paramore are in the midst of another crazy touring year. If you dig this cover, we strongly encourage you to support both groups as you are able. Continue reading ‘Crystalyne Cover Paramore’s “Aint It Fun”’

Paramore Release “Anklebiters” Video

Pop rock favorites Paramore have released the official video for their latest single, “Anklebiters.”

Taken from the band’s critically-acclaimed, self-titled new album, “Anklebiters” is an all-out jam that screams summer fun. The music feels like the best of 80s pop, with hints of 90s alternative sprinkled in, but the lyrics are unquestionably meant for the Warped Tour generation. The animated video accompaniment is all kinds of awesome, and in many ways helps emphasize the themes of the song. You can view the clip at the end of this post.

Paramore’s self-titled album is available now wherever music is sold. Continue reading ‘Paramore Release “Anklebiters” Video’
