But Harrisburg, PA rock ‘n rollers, The Jellybricks are just getting started. Making reliable and delicious power pop since 1996, the band is now celebrating their sixth release, Youngstown Tune-Up. Stepdad Release ‘Strange Tonight’ EP

Michigan-based Stepdad have just released a poppy new EP entitled Strange Tonight. This catchy as hell four-track EP also packs a punch, in true Stepdad form. An underground fan favorite since 2009, the band has toured with the likes of Fitz & The Tantrums, Reptar, Passion Pit, and are vets of the Vans Warped Tour. They also make frankly delightful videos. Sleigh Bells Announce North American Tour Dates

Sleigh BellsSleigh Bells have just confirmed a lengthy North American tour this April, surrounding dates at the Red Bull Sound Select, Coachella, Governors Ball, NXNE in Toronto, and Firefly Music Festival. Sadly, the tour isn’t as extensive as one might hope, and won’t touch the East Coast aside from their appearances at the Governors Ball in New York and Big Guava Music Festival in Florida. Modern Day Escape Announce Hiatus

Modern Day EscapeAs they say, all good things must come to an end. But it’s never so sad as when we hear those four little words coming from a band we love: “We’re taking a hiatus.” Orlando based hard rock/metal band, Modern Day Escape, announced via Facebook this week that they’d be taking a hiatus “from the music industry as the group Modern Day Escape until further notice.” With that kind of wording, it’s difficult not to daydream about what exactly that might mean. The Decemberists To Play First Headlining Show In 3 Years

The Decemberists 2013 was definitely a year of reunions, and 2014 is shaping up to be pretty similar, with many a hiatus being ended. And when it’s a band like The Decemberists coming back from a multi-year silence, it’s welcome news. Reuniting in Portland, Oregon on May 30th for the V is for Victory benefit concert, the band hopes to raise money for the Victory Academy, a public school that caters to children with Autism. They’ll perform Castaways and Cutouts in full, along with a few other tracks, and possibly even newer material. Bronze Radio Return Reveal SXSW Schedule

Bronze Radio ReturnBronze Radio Return have been on our radar ever since they made our “Best of OurStage 2010” list. Since then, they’ve graced every stage from the the side stage on John Mayer’s Battle Studies tour, to living life on the sea during their stint as performers on the Rock Boat. Now, the band is getting ready to take on another year of South By Southwest with five different performances down in Austin, TX. Paper Bird Announce West Coast Tour

Warped Tour 2014Usually on Thursday mornings we’re pretty thrilled to bring you the next four, maybe five bands to play this year’s Warped Tour. But this week, FuseTV‘s Warped Roadies has rattled off an incredible 12 new bands. So if your favorite band hadn’t already been announced, your odds of seeing them this summer just tripled.

Warner Bros. Records Announce Record Store Day Releases

Record Store Day 2014In honor of the upcoming Record Store Day on April 19, Warner Bros. Records will be releasing a slew of special releases from The Flaming Lips, Tegan and Sara, Green Day, LCD Soundsystem, Jay Z/Linkin Park, My Chemical Romance, Foals, Mastodon, Neil Young, Regina Spektor, The Wild Feathers, and Eric Clapton. In addition to swanky vinyl releases, some of the packages will include t-shirt designs, download card, and DVDs.
