Attention ravers. As if this years Ultra Music Festival lineup wasn’t enough to get you stoked for the 15th Anniversary of the internationally acclaimed festival, Miami commissioners have given the go on a second weekend of Electronic Dance Music (EDM) in Bayfront Park in Miami, FL. This marks the first ever EDM festival to span two weekends, March 15-17 and 22-24 to be specific.
Last year, Ultra raked in over $79 million for the economy of the Miami area, and that number is sure to be surpassed with this massive expansion of the festival. Coincidentally, the amount of resources, personel (including police), planning, etc., will also have to be heightened; something which had concerned many when Miami commissioners were confronted by Ultra organizers with their request.
The first weekend lineup has already been announced and will feature performances by EDM giants such as Armin Van Buuren, Avicii, Bassnectar, David Guetta, deadmau5, Fatboy Slim, Kaskade, Knife Party, Major Lazer, Swedish House Mafia, Tiësto, and many more. The second weekend lineup is soon to be announced so keep checking in here to stay up to date on what will certainly be one of the biggest music festivals of the year.
