Californian-born Mexican pop rock singer-songwriter Julieta Venegas is an award-winning artist about to release her 5th studio album in March. Otra Cosa follows her widely successful Limón y Sal album, which was released in 2006 and actually sold twice as many copies in the US as it did in Mexico. Venegas is known for her catchy love (or anti-love) songs “Canciones de Amor,” “Limón y Sal” and “Eres Para Mi,” not to mention 4 Latin and 1 Amercian GRAMMY awards. Another notable distinction, her song “Canciones de Amor” was featured in the movie The Heartbreak Kid (during Eddie and Lila’s long drive to their honeymoon destination). This mainstream achievement proves Venegas is an artist who can break boundaries.

Classes have just gotten going again for most college students, and for many of us, it’s that time when winter starts to seem just a liiiiittle too long. OurStage would like to help you shake that February malaise and help you get out of the house. So we took a look through our top-ranked Latin artists to see who has the hottest upcoming shows in February. Check out the calendar below along with the bands’ details.
