Missy Elliott performs with Timbaland over Labor Day
Those of you who have been missing a little Misdemeanor in your lives can go ahead and get excited. Missy Elliott emerged from obscurity this weekend at the Fontainebleu BleuLive concert in Miami Beach. Her old pal Timbaland brought her to the stage to rock her new singles “Triple Threat” and “9th Inning.” And lucky for you, somebody recorded it. Enjoy.

Billie Joe Armstrong hospitalized
Billie Joe Armstrong of Green Day was hospitalized in Italy on Sunday after he suddenly took ill. Although the band had to cancel their show in Bologna, they will still perform at the VMAs scheduled for Thursday night. Armstrong’s illness has not been disclosed, but it’s probably got something to do with brain stew, restless heart syndrome, or good old fashioned blood, sex, and booze. (Those are song titles, if you’re not GD literate.)

Kanye West raps about Kim Kardashian, again
For Kanye West, rapping about Kim Kardashian is a hard habit to break. He’s already name checked her in “TheraFlu,” and dedicated his song “Perfect Bitch” to her. This time around he’s bragging about her infamous sex tape, like any boyfriend would do about a recording of his girlfriend having sex with another man. The song is called “Clique,” and the lyrics go like this: “Ate breakfast at Gucci / My girl a superstar from a home movie.” We don’t know what we’re more confused about, his pride in Kim’s checkered past or his choice of breakfast joints.
