OurStage is once again partnering with the John Lennon Songwriting Contest and NAMM to bring you the John Lennon Songwriting Contest/NAMM Fly Away contest! OurStage artists will compete to win a showcase performance at the winter 2010 NAMM conference in Anaheim, California along with a recording session on the John Lennon Educational Tour Bus. The NAMM music show highlights the latest and greatest gear the music industry has to offer from the most up-to-date recording software to hand-crafted guitars. Not open to the public, NAMM is the place to be for insiders and industry leaders. Interested artists can submit their EPKs to the “Play the 2010 NAMM show!” gig in the OurStage Marketplace.
The John Lennon Songwriting Contest will be accepting submissions for Session II of the competition in the OurStage Marketplace starting June 16, 2009 at 12:00 A.M. (Songwriters wishing to enter Session I of the John Lennon Songwriting Contest have until the end of Monday, June 15th.) The contest is open to both amateur and professional songwriters who submit song entries in the following categories: Rock, Country, Jazz, Pop, World, Rhythm & Blues, Hip Hop, Gospel/Inspirational, Latin, Electronic, Folk and Children’s. This year’s prize package is the contest’s largest to date with over $275,000 in cash and prizes for the winners! Don’t miss out on this great opportunity!
