It’s bright and early on the first day of Bonnaroo so we snuck out to capture the grounds before they started filling up!
Here you can see the Bonnaroo Arch. It’s one of the best known entry spots to the festival and it’s right across from one of the main camping grounds.
As we walked through the arch we were bordered on both sides by a bright blue/green wall covered in paintings of some of the most legendary acts in music … (and some dude in a hat)
… oh yeah AND the most legendary names in film (OurStage videographer Andrew Bertino … a total bad ass)
Bonna … poo? Yep, it’s one of everyone’s favorite parts of the festival – the ungodly amount of porta potties here. As soon as we past the blue/green wall we were met with these bad boys on our left. I wonder if the random purple one is for ’special circumstances’ … or just decoration … hmmm deep thoughts (give me a break … it’s early ![]()
Isn’t it amazing that people need to be reminded of this …
And here we are at the ‘What’ stage – THE biggest stage at Bonnaroo. Last year this stage played host to acts like the Police, Tool, the Roots & this year we’re looking forward to seeing Pearl Jam, Jack Johnson and Metallica.
It’s nice to know the planning staff behind Bonnaroo hasn’t lost their sense of humor. The stages & tents for the event are playfully named: What, Which, This, That & The Other. It’s fun to keep the concert goers on their toes as the battle the massive crowds and extreme heat to figure out where they should go next … touchee Bonnaroo … touchee ![]()
Well it’s about time for the fans to pour in and we’re off to meet Shinny, our biggest Bonnaroo fan. Stay tuned for more!!
