What is good music? When asked this question, Adam Wright answered confidently, "It's what I'm continually trying to make." In a society where pop music is often cliche and sterile, Adam Wright continues to amaze with songs containing original hooks and clever guitar stylings that leave audiences listening intently. "Music is my passion and I love writing songs that actually connect with someone. The reward of making good music is not a billion record sales, but knowing that my job actually affects people in a positive way. And I like that." Broken is Good, a four song EP, is Wright's sophomore release containing a blend of rock, jazz and folk music. "I like to keep people guessing," says Wright. "Some of my favorite records are those that blend countless styles and genres into a single coherent hour of music and I aim to do the same." Wright is also front man and mandolinist of Act of Congress (actofcongressmusic.com), a Birmingham-based, award winning folk rock quartet. Their highly anticipated full length debut "Declaration" is set to release September 5 accompanied by a CD release party at Workplay Theatre. Wright has played several upscale venues in Birmingham, AL such as Workplay Theatre and has made festival appearances at Big Spring Jam in Huntsville and Rocketown in Nashville, TN. He has also opened up for national artists like Derek Webb, Eric Peters, Andy Gullahorn and Jill Phillips and is currently booking dates for 2008 in a band or solo format.
