Highlights from Soulive's Artist Access Mentor Session:

“You don’t want to do a million shows that don’t make sense. There’s going to be a lot of people offering you tons of gigs, but don’t take every gig.”

“Utilize every contact that you have… because if you’re that good, and you know you’re that good, what does anyone have to doubt?”

“Timelines are huge!”

About Soulive and The Press Project:

Hailing from Woodstock, New York, Soulive is a jazz trio famous for their up-beat songs and crazy-cool solos. Though they originally started as a trio (Neal Evans, Eric Krasno, Alan Evans) but in the summer of 2007 added Boston based artists Toussaint to the mix as the permanent lead vocalist. Throughout the band’s history, they’ve sold out shows all over the United States, as well as Japan and Europe.

On New Years Eve ’07/’08, Soulive gave High-Ranking November artist The Press Project the exclusive honor of kicking off their high-energy show. Blending hip-hop, soul, jazz and funk with an eclectic and poignant tongue twisting lyrical style, the seven members of The Press Project circulate massive amounts of physical and musical energy in a supercharged live performance spectacle.
