Fresh out of Harrisburg, PA 21 year old artist Sean “Artill” Bellamy boasts flowing rhymes and an arsenal of his own original music he ready to bring to the world. Artill may seem to outsiders to be just another kid with hopes of being famous and making it out of the ghetto but, take a second to get personal with him and you’ll see he has the confidence to shine and the skills and determination to make it. He is not a rapper to be underestimated, keep your eyes and ears on him and expect some big things ahead. When asked what life was like for a young kid growing up with a hard life in his home town of Jersey City, Artill just smiled and told us, “" Growing up in Jersey city was rough, and to the untrained eye it would seem to be nothing but negative. I feel as if I can change that opinion and show the world that you can take a diamond out the dirt and make it shine…even though I’ve been out of jersey for some time I still scream it out as much as I can, because that will forever be my home, and it will forever be my duty to make it pop.” In school Artill was always drawn to language arts and music, something you might not expect from a kid coming out of Jersey City. He was always a good student all around but he found he respected the art of poetry and loved to blend it with music. At age 8 Artill bought his first rap record and instantly fell in love with beats and lyrical flows of hip-hop. A few years later at the age of 12 he discovered he was able to actually produce his own lyrics with his own rhythms and started working on verses of his own. He spent time over the next two years perfecting his newfound talent and finding his style. At only14 years old Artill was ready to step up and show everyone what he had been working on and he stepped into the ring for his first live battle in front of a large crowd. We asked Artill if he was nervous and again he gave us that charming smile and told us, "Nervous wasn't the word! I remember just thinking, ' damn till, this is it, are you sure you ready for this? I just knew I had to win, palms sweaty and everything, that’s just how important it was to me at the time." The crowd went crazy it seemed all Artill’s hard work had paid off. He wasn’t finished there he had bigger plans for himself then just winning battles. Now armed with his arsenal of flowing rhymes and a large amount of confidence he was ready to take it to the next level but before he could get everything off the ground at age 16 his family moved over to Harrisburg, PA. The move didn’t go over well with a young Artill who was working on making himself a star. It seemed like everything he had been working on was going to fall apart as he was forced to say good bye to long time friends. "I definitely was pissed for a while,” Artill says. “I didn't want to just leave my hood, you know? At the time I was young and I didn't realize what my Moms was trying to do. For the longest time I refused to make new friends and everything, but, after a while I just accepted the fact that this was my new home." Once he made peace with the move Artill started to make the best of his situation and started networking and finding new friendships. Turns out this move really may have been for the best when he met good friend and future label mate B-TRU. The two clicked immediately and they began working with the CEO of Omerta Records Mic Chiz. In 2005, Artill and Truzzy scooped up high school friends Doughboy, Shizz, Mazon, and Kautious to form LCN and they released their first CD ‘Birth of a Dynasty’ the same year. When asked what he thought of such success before he even graduated high school Artill replied, “We was just teenagers in high school and we was selling dumb copies of the discs. Damn near everybody in school had a copy even a couple teachers. We thought we were stars already!" Laughs Artill, "those were the days...” The crew’s run lasted about a year and then Artill decided to take a short break from focusing on his music to finish school and handle some personal issues. After this brief hiatus Artill teamed up with his cousin Meano Raw to form KTGG. The two then teamed up with Ometra Records and it’s artists and created a buzz for themselves throughout the states with their performances not to mention winning competition after competition. Artill later met up with former Universal Records recording artist Slumlord aka Slizzy Raw’s Truth Music group and formed a triple alliance. Now with his new mixtape in the works, which is sure to be a classic, Artill assures his fans that they will be seeing and hearing a lot more about him in the upcoming months.
